The Project Studio (TPS) is a boutique project management company founded in 2006. Originally focused on the government sector, TPS has evolved and now also works in the private sector to deliver both minor and major projects including but not limited to high-end residential, commercial, industrial, retail, aged care, marine, heritage and civic projects. Our broad project management experience extends to condition assessments, preparation of project briefs, consultant scoping and engagement and completing supporting project documentation, including preparation of business cases.

 

For a project to be deemed successful, TPS recognises that each stakeholder has their own set of objectives that must be met and sees clear lines of communication between the project team and stakeholders as a key attribute when balancing these objectives within the constraints of the project brief. TPS believes this is one of the contributing factors to delivering on agreed expectations and has led to the successful completion of multiple projects for many of its clients.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

 

From feasibility to design development, construction and handover, our team provides proactive management services in accordance with the requirements of ISO 9001 and provides advice and recommendations to clients.

 

 

STAKEHOLDER  ENGAGEMENT

 

Coordination and management of each stakeholder’s expectations and agreed objectives within the constraints of the project through developing relationships and implementing a communication(s) management plan.

 

 

DESIGN MANAGEMENT

 

TPS act as Principal’s Representative managing the project’s design outcomes in line with the client’s brief. Includes but not limited to managing the overall design process (consultant team assembly, preparation of consultant scope, tender supervision and negotiation of fees and agreements), preparation of design in accordance with the project’s procurement strategy and providing advice on buildability issues.

 

 

TENDER / PROCUREMENT

 

Develop and manage the project’s procurements strategy including the preparation of tender documents, overseeing the tender process, negotiating with potential vendors and/or preferred contractors and assisting in the preparation of contract documentation(s).

 

 

CONTRACT ADMIN

 

Act as Superintendent or Principal’s Representatives ensuring project time frame(s), cost and quality objectives are met through preparation of project reports, implementation of project management plans and ongoing meetings with contractors and consultants.

 

 

PROJECT CLOSE OUT

 

Ensuring the timely handover of the completed project and associated works in line with the projects original objectives (time, cost, and quality) including the closing-out of contractors and consultants contractual requirements.

 

 

DEFECT INSPECTIONS

 

Conduct defect inspections throughout the project build and on completion to identify issues relating to quality, specifications and/or design and provide advice on appropriate rectification procedures.
